Starburst Regional Mentoring Program
The Starburst Regional Mentoring Program is a new initiative that aims to support young artists, designers, artsworkers and other creative types from regional and remote Queensland.
The Starburst Regional Mentoring Program is designed for young people aged 15 to 30 years who are interested in the arts and living in regional or remote areas of Queensland. All types of creativity are supported including music, art, craft, writing, theatre, dance, film, new media and many more.
Grants of up to $2,000 each will be available to successful applicants to undertake a creative project with the support of a local mentor.
Participants in the Starburst Regional Mentoring Program will be able to find out about careers in the arts and creative industries, plan and organise a creative project and take your creative work to the next level.
It will also connect participants with other creative people and organisations that can support them, allow them to talk to professionals about their work in the arts and get things happening in local areas.
Applications due 30 April 2010.
