NSW Manufacturing Week: Lean, green and innovative manufacturers tour

As part of NSW Manufacturing Week, two innovative Albury-Wodonga based manufacturers will open their doors for site tours. The tour will be followed by a presentation by Peter Lawlor, lean manufacturing expert from the Phalanx Consulting Group.

Representatives from Albury-Wodonga's manufacturing community will undertake a tour of Norkse Skog and Wise Living – two local manufacturers that have implemented environmentally friendly sustainability practices and/or embraced lean manufacturing processes.

Participants in the tour will then experience a presentation by Peter Lawlor focused on how they can become both lean and green while you drive innovation throughout your business.

His presentation will also cover:

– How lean manufacturing can transform your organisation's performance through waste elimination;
– The use of people engagement strategies to energise and sustain improvement;
– Understanding the impact of lean in achieving effective sustainability.

The tour will take place on 5 May 2010.

Participation in this event costs $44.00 per person including lunch and bus transport.
