Electrolight has now opened its 2011 lighting competition to designers across Australia – a biannual event that challenges designers to create a sustainable light using a limited collection of materials and equipment supplied by Electrolight.
2011 entrants will receive a warm white LED light from Osram, a braided cable and a lamp holder from Dean Philips. All entries will go on show at the LightCycle exhibition at the Donkey Wheel House during the State of Design Festival in Melbourne.
This year Electrolight has partnered with Donkey Wheel Charitable Trust and selected entries will go on permanent display at the Donkey Wheel House.
The LightCycle competition opens 5 July 2011. The total number of entries accepted is limited to 50 so be quick!
