The Firstdraft Emerging Arts Writers Program encourages excellence in arts writing practice and provides mentorship and professional development opportunities.

Applications for 2012 close 6.00pm Friday 12 August 2011.

Australia Council – International residencies

The Australia Council’s Skills and Arts Development Residency program supports excellence in the arts by providing professional development opportunities for craftspeople, designers, media artists and visual artists. Applications for Barcelona, Helsinki, Liverpool, London, New York, Paris, Rome and Tokyo are now open for 2012.

Applications due 12 August 2011.

MakeUp

05.07.11 | Victoria, Workshops

Harvest Textiles launches the MakeUP workshops during this year’s State of Design Festival. Here up-cycling and material reinvention will create new stories with old things in a series of five workshops over two weekends.

Held Saturday 23 July and Sunday 24 July, and Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 July 2011.
