Creative sparks grants

Creative Sparks Grants are now open for applications from Brisbane artists and cultural workers. These grants provide recipients with up to $20,000 to provide opportunities for creative projects and professional development.

The Creative Sparks program is a joint initiative of Brisbane City Council and the Queensland Government through Arts Queensland. The program supports creative projects that enrich Brisbane’s communities and develops the professional practice of local artists and cultural workers.

There are three categories of funding on offer:

– Creative projects that enrich Brisbane’s communities
– New projects promoting professional development
– Arts business partnerships

Closing date for applications is Monday 2 November 2009. Projects funded will need to commence after 15 February 2010.
